Growing Grease Monkey: flowering time, yield and breeder specs

Seed versions of Grease Monkey flower in about 56–64 days, 8 to 9 weeks, and the breeder and sellers describe a heavy producer; Zamnesia’s version finishes outdoors by late September or early October.^1,2,3,4,5 Exotic Genetix lists its own seeds as retired.⁶

What the plant is like

Expect a heavy, resinous plant. Exotic Genetix rates it medium to tall and a heavy producer; Zamnesia describes tight, dank flowers on a hardy plant, while AllBud describes fluffy, tapered, forest-green buds with sparse orange hairs and a coat of tiny clear trichomes.^1,5,8 High Times praised its large buds and its returns on solvent and non-solvent extracts, and Nirvana Seeds calls its version incredible for hash makers and extract artists.^2,9

What to watch for

The smell, first. Nirvana Seeds warns that its version is extremely aromatic and will put carbon filters to the test.² Outdoors, Phat Panda’s listing says it needs dry autumn days to finish and not to hold back on fertilizer; Zamnesia’s version is ready by late September or early October.^5,7 The sealed Exotic Genetix packs Seeds Here Now sells are regular seeds, which can produce male plants (Exotic Genetix also sold feminized packs), and High Times found terpene profiles varying from phenotype to phenotype.^4,6,9

Seeds and the law in the US

Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.¹⁰ Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.^10,11 Home cultivation rules are set by each state.
